Rachel Sliker, American soprano, will make her Chautauqua Opera debut this summer in symphony concert and covering the title role in Puccini’s Manon Lescaut. Her previous engagements include: Donna Elvira/Don Giovanni with Aspen Music Festival; Cio-Cio-San/Madame Butterfly with Opera Theatre of St. Louis Opera on the Go!; Second Lady/Die Zauberflöte with Opera North; Fiordiligi/Così fan tutte with the Martina Arroyo Program; Michaëla and Frasquita covers/Carmen with Virginia Opera; Pamina/The Magic Flute with Pine Mountain Music Festival; Ann Putnam/The Crucible with Utah Festival Opera. Rachel was a finalist for the Fritz & Lavinia Jensen Competition in 2011 and a winner of the Philadelphia District Metropolitan Opera Competition in 2007. She received her Master of Music and Professional Studies Certificate from Manhattan School of Music and Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory.
